Written in a Book Abandoned on the Beach

August 22, 2013

I come from near Springfield, one of many.
I’ve come here, the center of Nowhere-by-the-Sea.
I’ve brought nothing & have found nothing here.
I feel exhausted for having nothing to find.
And my yearning is only now, not the from the past nor into the future.
In this book I have written what I will know:
I am, like the grasses , & never uprooted.
